THE BIBLICAL WILD?

The Biblical Wild is an interactive bible study for individuals, small groups, neighborhoods, and congregations where we will journey into the wilds of Holy Scripture through daily readings of the Old Testament and Psalms and weekly video reflections presented by the Rt. Rev. Todd Ousley, former bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan.

DEVOTIONAL SCHEDULE:

Week XII: Joshua 1-18, Psalms 65-70


As we move from the Torah - the Law of Moses - we are finally crossing the Jordan and entering the promised land. We're also shifting from anticipation of the land to conflicted possession of the land.

While it's no Jordan River, the Bishop visits a small frozen creek running through Dow Memorial Gardens in Midland while we study the connection between land, obedience, expectations, and God's promise.

1 - How do you understand the connection between God's faithfulness and your obedience?

2 - How are you called to mature and deepen your faith?

Week XI: Deuteronomy 19-34, Psalms 56-64


Bishop Ousley is behind the wheel again this week as we journey on through The Biblical Wild.

Continuing our exploration of Deuteronomy, we look at Moses' teachings and how they informed the Israelites living on the border of the promised land.

2 - How do you experience the life of faith as "occupying the land"?

Week X: Deuteronomy 1-18, Psalms 53-58


This week, as we begin our study of Deuteronomy and the Isrealites' final days of wandering, Bishop Ousley takes us on a roadtrip.

As we travel, we will consider the physical movement of the people wandering but also the movement from being a wandering people to a people poised to enter the land, settled.

1 - How has your spiritual journey been nomadic?

2 - When have you experienced a more settledness along your journey?
