THE BIBLICAL WILD?

The Biblical Wild is an interactive bible study for individuals, small groups, neighborhoods, and congregations where we will journey into the wilds of Holy Scripture through daily readings of the Old Testament and Psalms and weekly video reflections presented by the Rt. Rev. Todd Ousley, former bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan.

DEVOTIONAL SCHEDULE:

Week IX: Numbers 21-36, Psalms 47-52

Continuing our reflection on the Book of Numbers this week, we move from exploring the "old generation" to the "new generation" and a study of the story of Balem and his donkey.

Last week we were at the home of Herbert H. Dow and this week we move to the home of his son, Alden B. Dow. Like Caleb, Alden represents a new spirit, challenging the constructs and traditions of those that came before him.

Questions to consider:

1 - What story of blessing or promise that can't be stopped can you tell?

2 - How might the blessings that you recieve also be used to bless others?

Week VIII: Numbers 4-20, Psalms 41-46

We turn to the Book of Numbers this week to explore the contrast between the old generation and the new generation. Bishop Ousley takes us to the house of Alden B. Dow, founder of the Dow Chemical Company, a representation of the old generation.

Week VII: Leviticus 13-Numbers 3, Psalms 35-46

On this week's Biblical Wild, Bishop Ousley continues on through Leviticus and calls on us to live into our call to love our neighbor and work for justice and peace for all people.

2 - Do you experience points of disconnect between what you proclaim in worship and outside of worship?
